The AFCA Division II Coach of the Year is a college football award given each year to the nation's most outstanding Division II coach as determined by his peers in the AFCA. From 1960-1982, the award was the AFCA Small College Coach of the Year, and eligibility included all schools outside of major colleges. From 1983-2005, coaches at NAIA Division I schools were eligible, until the creation of the AFCA NAIA Coach of the Year honor.
