AP College Basketball Little All-Americans have been selected by the Associated Press since 1934 to recognize players outside Division I. Information on the AP Little All-American teams is not available directly; all players outside of Division I who are recognized by the NCAA as first-team All-Americans prior to the beginning of the NABC All-America selections in 1967 must be assumed to have received the AP honor as it was the only officially recognized All-America honor being given.

Due to the lack of available information on the AP teams, we have had to make a ruling regarding how this is treated on this site. Beginning with 1967, if the NCAA recognizes as a first-team All-American a player who was not recognized as a member of an NABC All-America team, then they will be listed as having been a member of that year's AP Little All-America team, as that is the only possible way the player could have received recognized first-team honors. If the player was recognized by the NABC, since the question of whether the player was also honored by the AP is open, the AP designation will not be listed although the player may in fact have received such honors.
