The Prairie View A&M University Panthers compete as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Prairie View A&M, a historically black college, is a public land-grant institution located in the town of Prairie View, Texas, about 45 minutes west of Houston. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 7,000.
