The Valdosta State University Blazers compete as members of the Gulf South Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Valdosta State is a public institution located in Valdosta, Georgia, in the far southern tier of the state, about two hours west-northwest of Jacksonville, Florida. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 9,000.
