The Case Western Reserve University Spartans compete as members of the University Athletic Association in NCAA Division III football and basketball. Case Western Reserve, formed by the merger of "Case Institute of Technology" and "Western Reserve University", is a private non-sectarian institution located in the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
