The Peace College Pacers compete as members of the USA South Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III football and basketball. As a women's college, the school does not sponsor football or men's basketball. Peace is a private Presbyterian women-only institution located in the capital city of Raleigh, North Carolina. The school's teams were known as the "Pride" prior to 2004, but changed their name upon joining the USA South Athletic Conference, to avoid confusion with conference-mates Greensboro, also known as the Pride. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 500.
