The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, or RPI, Engineers (for football)/Red Hawks (for basketball) compete as members of the Liberty League in NCAA Division III football and basketball. RPI is a private non-sectarian institution located in Troy, New York, about 15 minutes north of Albany. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 5,000.
