The Saint Mary of the Plains College Saints ceased operations in 1992 when the school closed due to declining enrollments and financial problems. At the time, the school was a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, competing in NAIA football and basketball. Saint Mary of the Plains was a private Catholic (Josephan) institution located in Dodge City, Kansas, about two and a half hours west of Wichita.
