The Texas Bowl is a bowl game held in Houston, Texas since 2000. The bowl began as the Houston Bowl, and was played at the Astrodome its first two years before moving to Reliant Stadium. in 2005, the bowl ceased operations, but the rights to the game were purchased and it became the Texas Bowl in 2006. On paper, the two bowl games are separate, but are treated here as the same since the operation essentially continued uninterrupted.
