The Washington College Shoremen compete as members of the Centennial Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Washington College is a private non-sectarian institution located in the Eastern Shore town of Chestertown, directly across Chesapeake Bay and about 90 minutes from Baltimore, Maryland. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
