NAIA District 10 Men's Basketball

NAIA District 10 consisted, throughout the district qualification era, of NAIA schools in Kansas.

When the NAIA split into divisions in 1992, the Division I schools were transferred to District 16, while a couple of Oklahoma schools from District 9 moved to join the Division II schools in District 10.

Primary sources for information on this district include the Lawrence Journal-World, the Wichita Eagle, the Kansas City Star, the Fort Scott Tribune, the Junction City Union, and the Saint Joseph Gazette.


Formats

1951-64: Best-of-three championship series involving representatives of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. In some years, an independent team replaced one of the champions.

1965: Three-team playoff with one semifinal and a best-of-three series.

1966-76: Four-team playoff.

1977-80: Six-team playoff, with the top two seeds receiving 1st round byes.

1981-93: Eight-team playoff.
